ABOUT ME

A Life Rooted in Music

I come from a long line of musicians. With my father playing guitar for the legendary Hungarian artist Péter Máté, my aunt performing as a violinist for the world-renowned Vienna Philharmonic, and my uncle touring Norway and Sweden for 10 years with various bands before playing bass for the well-known Hungarian group Bojtorján, music hasn't just been a career choice - it’s in my blood. I was handed my first guitar at the age of four, and ever since that day, sound has been at the absolute center of my life.

I was handed my first guitar at the age of four, and ever since that day, sound has been at the absolute center of my life. My Journey into Mastering: Growing up, I was constantly fascinated by the science of sound. I spent hours analyzing records, trying to understand why certain mixes felt incredibly powerful and emotional, while others fell flat. Over time, I found myself drawn to the final, most critical stage of music production: audio mastering. To truly master the craft, I knew I had to learn from the ground up. I spent my early years working as an intern and assisting in several major recording studios across Hungary, like the now-defunct SuperSize Recording studio. Being surrounded by world-class acoustics, massive analog consoles, and top-tier professionals gave me the invaluable hands-on experience that eventually shaped my own hybrid mastering philosophy, and set the standard for what Phantom's Mastering represents today. The Studio & My Daily Workflow: As the founder and mastering engineer at Phantom’s Mastering Studio, my primary focus is delivering high-end remote online mastering services for independent artists, producers, and select record labels worldwide. Having completed hundreds of successful masters across diverse genres, including Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, Electronic, Jazz, and Classical music (you name it!), my approach relies on highly critical listening and absolute acoustic objectivity within a professionally treated studio environment. My sonic philosophy is built on a strictly hybrid mastering workflow. Every stereo mix I receive is processed through a curated chain of premium analog outboard gear - featuring industry standards like Dangerous Music, Neve, Prism, Mäag or API - to achieve authentic harmonic saturation, analog warmth, and physical depth. This analog processing is then seamlessly integrated with state-of-the-art digital tools for surgical EQ and precise LUFS management. This meticulous combination ensures your final master meets the strict loudness standards of modern streaming platforms (Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music) while translating perfectly to club systems, physical mediums like CD or vinyl, and everyday listening environments, to sound incredible whether it's played on standard earbuds, Apple AirPods, hi-fi speakers, or the car stereo. Never-Ending Learning & The Future: In the audio industry, standing still means falling behind. I am committed to continuous education to provide the best possible sound for my clients. Recently, I proudly completed my Avid certifications, becoming both a Pro Tools Music Professional and a Dolby Atmos Certified Professional. See most of my credentials below:

Never-Ending Learning & The Future

The music industry and its artists are constantly evolving, standing still means falling behind. Just like musicians, prioritizing  professional development is a core focus to ensure the highest quality of service. Recently, alongside a colleague, we proudly became Hungary’s first Avid Certified Pro Tools Music Professionals, while simultaneously being the very first in the world to earn the 2025 Avid Certified Pro Tools Dolby Atmos Professional certification. My philosophy is built on a strictly hybrid mastering workflow. This analog processing is then seamlessly integrated with state-of-the-art digital tools - such as FabFilter, iZotope RX, UAD, Brainworks, Sonnox Oxford or Weiss - for surgical EQ, precise dynamics and loudness (LUFS, RMS) management, final quality control, and conversion to different delivery formats.
