I use a hybrid mastering approach to give your music the best of both worlds. Your tracks run through high-end analog outboard gear, including Neve, API, and Dangerous Music hardware, with real tubes and transformers, adding genuine depth, harmonic saturation, and analog warmth. This is seamlessly combined with clinical digital tools for surgical precision, delivering a modern, release-ready sound that purely "in-the-box" solutions can't match.
Fast and Secure File Transfer for Online Mastering
Sending your tracks for online mastering is a fast, secure, and fully remote process. You can easily submit your uncompressed audio files via my contact form or email. I recommend using free lossless file-sharing services like SwissTransfer (my personal favorite), Dropbox, or Google Drive to ensure zero degradation in audio quality during the transfer to Phantom's Mastering.

Absolutely. A great mix actually benefits the most from professional mastering. A dedicated mastering stage provides an objective, acoustic reality check in a treated room. It ensures your track meets the strict LUFS loudness standards of modern streaming platforms, guarantees consistent playback across all consumer devices, and adds that final, cohesive analog "glue."

For standard online audio mastering, the turnaround time for a single track is typically 2 to 3 business days. If you are submitting a full album, an EP, or require complex stem mastering, we will agree on a custom, reliable deadline to ensure every single song receives the detailed human attention it deserves.

Yes, I offer custom project rates for EPs and full-length albums. When mastering multiple tracks together, the workflow is streamlined to establish a cohesive sonic signature for the entire record. Ideal File Formats, Bit Depth & Sample Rate
For optimal results, please send uncompressed 24-bit or 32-bit float WAV or AIFF files at their original project sample rate (e.g., 44.1kHz, 48kHz, or higher). To preserve the highest audio fidelity for analog processing, absolutely avoid MP3 or any other lossy compressed formats.
Client-Focused Revisions
My ultimate goal is your complete satisfaction and a perfect-sounding master. To ensure your artistic vision is fully realized, my online mastering service includes up to three free revision rounds in the base price. This allows us to fine-tune the master together until it perfectly aligns with your expectations.
The Online Mastering Workflow
The process is highly collaborative: simply upload your final mix in the required uncompressed format, and share your sonic preferences along with any reference tracks. I will process your music through my analog chain and deliver a final master for your approval. If needed, we can make adjustments through revisions. Once approved, I will deliver a final package containing all the necessary high-resolution formats for digital distribution.

It is not necessarily about being "better," but rather about distinct sonic character. While AI and digital software tools are unmatched for clinical precision, a physical analog signal chain provides harmonic richness, physical depth, and musical texture that algorithms cannot fully replicate. I believe a hybrid approach - combining digital transparency with genuine analog character is the ultimate path to achieving a world-class master.
Ideal Headroom for the Master Bus
Ideally, you should leave around -3 to -6 dB of True Peak headroom. However, the exact number is less critical as long as your mix does not clip or exceed the digital ceiling (0 dBFS). Most importantly, to allow me to apply proper analog dynamics, please ensure there is no limiter, clipper, or heavy mix-bus compression on your final bounce.
Dedicated Masters for Vinyl and CD
Absolutely. Different playback mediums require entirely different technical approaches. Upon request, I create dedicated DDP images for CD replication and specialized, highly dynamic masters tailored specifically for the physical limitations of vinyl pressing. This ensures your music translates beautifully, avoiding distortion or needle jumps on the turntable.
